MY DREAMS OF BECOMING AN ACTRESS

From the age of five years old I knew that all I ever wanted to do in life was act! I could feel it in my bones, spirit and soul. Like when you meet the person of your dreams for the first time and you just know they are the only one for you!

I watched every Shirley Temple movie in the world and used to pretend it was me on the big screen not her. When I turned six I put together a pillowcase full of clothes and tied it to a stick I found in the yard. As I sat on the front porch of our house in Toronto contemplating how I was going to get to HOLLYWOOD my Mother came out and dragged me back in the house. She told me there were too many actresses in the world and that when I grow up I better choose another profession! She said I would starve to death! I pictured myself on Hollywood Blvd sprawled out on the pavement wasting away!

Unfortunately what my Mother told me stuck in my mind for the next several years of my life. I married my high school sweetheart (too young) and for several years worked at different jobs and even got a three year Public Relations Diploma from Durham College in Oshawa Ontario! I opened my own business and was still trying to fill the void I knew could only be filled if I finally persued a career in Acting.

Several friends and strangers have told me that even before I took lessons  I am a natural at Acting. Well I now have these people to thank. Especially King Tyrone who told me NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS at least once a day! Six words that have so much meaning and impact on a person's life! I am a perfectionist in every way but I have learned to ease up on myself and go with the flow. As a late bloomer I am going to take this new happiness one day at a time and ride this adventure wherever it takes me and as far as I can go!

I really appreciate all the great legends of yesteryear for their grace, dignity, poise and glamour! Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Maureen O'Hara and Joan Crawford just to name a few. They had to really know how to act since they didn't have the special effects that are quite evident in a lot of new movies on the screen today!

ICECREAM RULES!

While waiting for a call to go back on the set of "CONVERSATION WITH THE SUPPLICANT" three young girls joined us where we were seated outside. They were quite thrilled to be talking to us and we even got the impression they thought we were God. That was until we heard the loud sound of music pouring out of a nearby icecream truck. On that note all three girls ran in the direction of the jingle to persue bigger and better things (their icecream cravings). We were all left with a look on our faces that read "what are we chopped liver"?

PIERCE BROSNAN

I had the amazing opportunity to  act in the upcoming movie called MARRIED LIFE. I was the first actor to step onto the movie set!!! While facing the front of the room, I felt a strong presence. You could hear a pin drop! I slowly turned around and there he was, Pierce's statuesque figure standing at the back of the room.  I froze and for once in my life became speechless! I quickly turned around so he wouldn't see my face. As he slowly walked by me I still stood there frozen. It was just the two of us in the room.

To answer a popular question, yes ladies he is as gorgeous in person as he is in his movies!!!!!!

After fifteen hours of filming I fell into bed exhausted! It was worth it because I was given the honour by Director Ira Sachs of acting in a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE with one of the greatest actors of all time!
